There are many things in life we can’t control such as the weather, people’s opinions and behaviours and what other people think of us. Instead, focus on what you can control. It’s sounds cliché, but it’s true. It can also change your life for the better.

Your Attitude, Thoughts and Beliefs.

Your Attitude towards a lot of things in life makes a huge difference to how you live your life. It shows in everything you do. Your body language conveys your attitude, it’s that powerful that people can sense it before you say a word, when you walk in a room and sit down. Your attitude determines how you carry yourself to the way you interact with people and deal with situations. Make the conscious decision to reflect on your attitude daily, you are in charge of how you respond to what happens to you. Start taking full responsibility for your attitude today.

Your mind is such a powerful tool when used correctly but if not used correctly, can also be the most destructive force in your life. What you think about something is ultimately how you react to it. Through self reflection, meditation and mindfulness, you can begin to control your thinking process and discern whether the thoughts you are having are helping you learn and evolve into the person you want to be. This particularly important when it comes to what you think about yourself.

Your self beliefs are the core principles of who you are. They are so powerful that they can strongly influence the way we live, the careers we seek, the relationships we pursue, and ultimately what we do or do not accomplish in life. You acquire them at an early stage in your life, they change or evolve over time. All of us believe in something whether Religion, Politics, Love and so on. One of the biggest beliefs you have is you. If you don’t believe in yourself, who else will? Your thoughts and Beliefs are interconnected, we all experience procrastination, self-doubt, negative thinking, anxiety and so on. In order to overcome these obstacles is to tackle these thoughts by not believing in them and instead truly believing in yourself and your ability to overcome anything. Take a moment and reflect on your current beliefs and see how they align with your journey.

2. The company you surround yourself with.⁣ The company you keep says a lot about you. Ask yourself, are you spending time with people who are in line with what you want for your life? It’s important that you surround yourself with people that have a positive influence, be it friends, family members or work colleagues. Being protective of who you allow in your space is vital to your elevation. Therefore, only surround yourself with people you can learn from, who can help you grow into the best version of you.

3. How many times you smile and find joy our day. Start your day in a positive way and you can determine how the rest of your day goes. Choose to see the day with a open mind and consciously look at the positives throughout your day.

4. The Boundaries you set. Our personal boundaries are guidelines, rules or limits that we creates to identify reasonable, safe and permissible ways for other people to treat us. Boundaries may involve what behaviour is okay and what is not and how to respond if someone violates those limits. Setting boundaries can ensure that relationships can be mutually respectful, appropriate, and caring. It’s important to set boundaries in your life because so often, we assume that people will respect our boundaries because we were brought up and taught what is acceptable by our family and/or culture. Unfortunately, this is not always the case. Although we can choose who we interact with in our personal life such as choosing close friends, this is not always the case in other environments such as work, family, community, etc. We can feel uncomfortable or even violated when someone shows poor boundaries or lack of respect for them. Therefore, we have to know how to establish healthy emotional, psychological, and physical boundaries in relationships so we can feel respected and safe

5. Your Selfcare and Wellness. Self care is a vital part of our lives, it’s about maintaining good mental and physical health in your life. It’s a way of living that incorporates behaviours that help you to be refreshed, replenish your personal motivation, and grow as a person. Selfcare has different aspect to focus on in order to fully care for your wellbeing.

Emotional Wellness involves having the ability to acknowledge and accept a wide range of feelings in yourself as well as in others. Emotional wellness is important in order to be able to freely express and manage your own feelings, to develop positive self- esteem in order to arrive at personal decisions based upon the integration of your attitudes and behaviors. Emotional wellness works on the acceptance of your emotions and feelings. Included is the ability to realistically evaluate your limitations and effectively cope with stress. An emotionally well individual maintains healthy and satisfying relationships with others.

On your emotional wellness journey, your awareness acceptance and of a wide range of feelings in yourself and others becomes more apparent. The ability to manage, understand and express your emotions will be enhanced leading to the development of relationships based on mutual commitment, trust, and respect.

Physical Wellness involves regular physical activities, proper nutrition and health care, such as exercise or sports, and personal hygiene. Cardiovascular strength and endurance, muscular strength and endurance, and flexibility are all also part of physical wellness. Physical wellness is important because activities leading to high levels of wellness, including nutritional knowledge, exercise, and appropriate use of the medical system are encouraged while detrimental activities, including the consumption of drugs and excessive alcohol are discouraged.

Throughout your journey to physical wellness, you will strive to spend more attention to building flexibility and muscular abilities. The relationship between good nutritional practices and your health becomes more apparent and improves. You will understand your body’s warning signs and take responsibility by appropriately adjusting your lifestyle.

Spiritual Wellness involves the willingness to seek meaning and purpose in human existence; regardless of your religious beliefs. Spiritual wellness is important for allowing you to be open to diverse multi-cultural beliefs and backgrounds because of your comfort level with yourself and with your belief structure. Spiritual wellness coincides with the exploration of the meaning of life. It seeks the development of a deep appreciation of all life and natural forces in existence.

Social Wellness involves developing friendships, healthy sexual behaviors, and the ability to interact comfortably with others. Social wellness is important for maintaining harmony in personal and community environments. The social dimension encourages contributing to the common welfare of your community. It emphasizes the coexistence of you, society, and the environment along with the pursuit of harmony in your life.

Taking care of your thoughts, matters.

Taking care of your relationships, matters.

Taking care of your spirituality, matters.

All of these dimensions within you, matter.

You matter tremendously, take care of yourself.
